The Joan C. Edwards Charitable Foundation is pleased to announce that 2016 Edwards Scholar Jessica Pham, M.D., has matched with University Hospitals of Cleveland Medical Center’s Department of Neurology, where she is a 2026-27 Resident.
A recent graduate of Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, Dr. Pham officially matched in March 2026 through the National Resident Matching Program. The annual ranking and placement of graduating medical students is an important milestone in their professional development and eventual medical careers.
The Joan C. Edwards Scholarship encourages a pipeline of talented students from the Cleveland Metropolitan School District into Cleveland’s medical community. The scholarship recognizes students with a passion for medicine, strong academic achievement, and a commitment to serving others. The scholarship covers tuition, room, board, and other educational expenses at Case Western Reserve University and the Case School of Medicine.
Dr. Pham was an honors student graduate from the recently consolidated Cleveland School of Science and Medicine.
“Dr. Pham’s incredible journey continues with this prestigious residency at University Hospitals Cleveland,” said Brian McDonald, Executive Director of the Joan C. Edwards Charitable Foundation. “Her success is testament to the power of determination, hard work, and intelligence that the Foundation continues to support.”
